Arctic Sparkle ist ein alkoholfreies Schaumweinprodukt des Familien Unternehmens Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi (Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi Oy) auf Basis von finnischen Moltebeeren. Das kleine aber feine Unternehmen wurde 2004 gegründet und produziert seither eine Vielfalt an Produkten. Alle Produkte haben gemein, dass die zur Herstellung verwendeten Rohstoffe aus der finnischen Natur stammen.
Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi ist in Savonlinna inmitten der fantastischen Seenlandschaft Finnlands ansässig, etwa anderthalb Stunden östlich von Mikkeli. Zum umfangreichen Portfolio des Familienbetriebs zählen neben Arctic Sparkle vor allem alle nur denkbaren finnischen Beeren, eine hervorragende Fruchtsauce von der Moltebeere, Marmeladen, Waldpilze, Pürees, Säfte sowie sehr leckere Limonaden, beispielsweise von Preiselbeeren. Darüber hinaus bietet Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi sowohl einen Catering- als auch, einen Getränke- und Liefer-Service an.
Wichtig ist zu erwähnen das bei Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi alle Getränke aus Waldbeeren hergestellt werden. Kultivierte Beeren werden nicht verwendet und es werden auch keine Aromen oder Farben zugesetzt – alle Aromen und Farben stammen von echten Beeren.
Mit Arctic Sparkle – was aktuell leider auf der Webseite des Unternehmens noch nicht zu finden ist – hat Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi ein sehr interessantes Produkt auf den Markt gebracht. Die hierfür verwendete Moltebeere (Cloudberry) oder auch Sumpfbrombeere ist Wahrzeichen Lapplands und hauptsächlich in den nördlichsten Regionen der Erde zu finden. Sie ist nicht nur gesund und reich an Vitaminen & Spurenelementen, sondern schmeckt auch vorzüglich fruchtig und belebend.
Arctic Sparkle ist ein ideales Getränk für Feierlichkeiten bei denen Angestoßen, aber dennoch kein Alkohol getrunken werden kann oder soll. Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi bezeichnet es daher auf den schicken Flaschen auch als ein „Prickelndes Festgetränk“. Arctic Sparkle ist nicht zu süß und hat eine sehr feinperlige Kohlensäure – fast schon wie bei einem Champagner. Der Duft hat eine fruchtige Note, welche sich erstaunlicherweise auch ebenso im Geschmack dieses Getränkes wiederfindet.
Aus meiner Sicht ist Arctic Sparkle eine wirklich leckere Angelegenheit, die nicht nur an Festtagen getrunken werden will.
Was die Haltbarkeit angeht wird Arctic Sparkle als Konservierungsmittel Kaliumsorbat hinzugegeben, Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi hat sich hierfür entschieden, da dieser Stoff in seiner natürlichen Variante bereits in den Beeren vorkommt. Persönlich bin ich kein Fan von Konservierungsmitteln und wenn dann nur von solchen wie Zucker, Zitronensäure oder ähnlichen natürlichen Stoffen – aber hier bin ich nicht Fachmann genug, sondern habe lediglich eine eigene Meinung.
Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi ließ mich wissen das, das Thema Nachhaltigkeit für sie eine immer wichtigere Rolle spielt. In Finnland liegt die Recycling Rate von metallischen Verpackungsteilen bei über 80%, weshalb sie sich bei der Einfassung des Flaschenhalses von Arctic Sparkle bewusst für die Metallfolie als Material entschieden haben.

Arctic Sparkle is an ideal drink for celebrations where toasts are required but alcohol cannot or should not be drunk. Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi therefore calls it a „sparkling celebratory drink“ on the fancy bottles. Arctic Sparkle is not too sweet and has a very fine bubble – almost like champagne. The fragrance has a fruity note, which is also found in the taste of this drink.
From my point of view, Arctic Sparkle is a really tasty thing to drink not only on celebration days.
As far as shelf life is concerned, Arctic Sparklee is added potassium sorbate as a preservative, Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi has chosen to use it because this substance is already present in the berries in its natural form. Personally, I am not a fan of preservatives and if so, only of those such as sugar, citric acid or similar natural substances – but here I am not expert enough, I just have my own opinion.
Saimaan Marjamarkkinointi let me know that the issue of sustainability is playing an increasingly important role for them. In Finland, the recycling rate of metal packaging parts is over 80%, which is why they deliberately chose metal foil as the material for the bottle neck of Arctic Sparkle.
