Meet the Chef

With “Meet the Chef” I have fulfilled a long-cherished wish of my heart. For many years I have appreciated cooking sessions – just as musicians love to hold jam sessions.

I always enjoy cooking and eating with others. Cooking is not only fabulous and relaxing – cooking is also pure inspiration and a celebration of joie de vivre that is contagious and wants to be lived out.

Even before the work starts in the kitchen, the fun begins with the shopping – of course you already have an idea “where the journey is going”, but I always remain open for spontaneous changes. Not infrequently, the availability – especially of regional ingredients – determines the ultimate cooking pleasure.

It doesn’t have to be the star chef with whom I exchange culinary ideas in a relaxed atmosphere to expand my knowledge or cook the unusual. It can also be the Italian mamma – who still knows recipes that would otherwise have been lost long ago, or the boss of a small family business who has “spent” his life with a certain ingredient.

Like the rat Rémy in the legendary animated film Ratatouille – a MUST SEE for everyone who loves food – got “Anyone can cook” – among the autodidacts and career changers you often find the most talented cooks.

Here are the chefs I’ve jammed with since the idea for this new category on foodadvisor.de:

If you think that someone you know – whether chef, autodidact or bon vivant – is missing here and is just the right person for this category, please let me know.
