Weißes Rössl in Lichterfelde

Reservation

The Weißen Röss’l in Licherfelde has enough space, even for a spontaneous visit – but if you want to sit outside in the beer garden during rush hours, we recommend that groups of five or more people book in advance by telephone to be on the safe side.

Ambience

The Weißen Röss’l in Berlin Lichterfelde is a traditional beer garden restaurant based on the Bavarian model. It is furnished in a rustic style and the staff is just as faithfully dressed as the original. The extensive menu offers both Bavarian and Austrian specialities.

Service

Just as you know it from Bavarian beer gardens, the staff is quite direct – but the heart is in the right place. The food arrives quickly at the table and the drinks are taken care of promptly.

Quality and Taste

Besides the hearty half to litre Paulaner, some Radi with butter and Bretz’n I absolutely recommend to try the knuckle of pork, a delicious crust is standard here. Bavarian cabbage and bread dumplings are served with it.

The knuckle of pork is already quite a large portion with over a kilo, but you can also share this main course – then everyone can still make his apple strudel afterwards.

Positive

I particularly noticed the good mood of the service staff, especially as it didn’t seem to be superimposed. Definitely a rustic address for a hearty men’s evening, which you should have tried at least once.

Negative

Qualitatively there was only one outlier worth mentioning for me so far, an extremely thin liver dumpling soup which obviously must have “slipped through” during the quality control of the cook – the service reacted refreshingly and accommodatingly, but unfortunately liver dumpling soup was out then (which was certainly already the case before).
