The City Cube – Hall B is an ideal venue for the number of participants expected at the opening event of the International Green Week 2020.
A really very attractive, modern and, above all, huge event location in which, in addition to the large main stage, three screens were “stretched out” that were unparalleled. This ensured for all parts of the event that everyone could see what was happening on stage, even in the back row.
In addition, each guest received a set of headphones and a reception control unit, with which he/she was able to have all language contributions translated simultaneously into English, Croatian, French, Russian and more – a terrific service I think – but it is also an international event with a very long tradition.
After the introductory words by Dr. Christian Göke (Messe Berlin), Dr. Wolfgang Ingold spoke on behalf of the food industry and Joachim Rukwied on behalf of the German Farmers’ Association. For the EU, Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski followed with a refreshing speech, followed by Berlin’s Senator of Justice Dirk Behrendt and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. Last but not least, the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture gave the actual opening words for the fair.
In between and at the end of the opening, the more than 3,600 guests were entertained by music and video technology in a Croatian folkloric to electronic modern style. Besides many not mentioned protagonists, the well-known Croatian singer & actress Renata Sabljak and the star tenor Dani Stipanicev took part.
At the end of the event the guests of honour moved into the hall of this year’s partner country to be spoilt with all kinds of delicacies from Croatia.
Due to the large number of people who were looking for the way to the Croatian event, I decided to visit the traditional flower hall opening from here.
