El Gaucho

Some time ago I visited with a good Bangkok friend the El Gaucho Bangkok – the “branch” not far from the Grand Mercure ASOKE…right next to Terminal 21. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting and authentic, you felt right at home and almost like in a Argentina steakhouse. The furnishings are very attractive and invite you to linger even beyond the good steak. Continue reading El Gaucho

The Grand Richmond Hotel

Location, transport links and surroundings

The Richmond Hotel is located away from the crowded centre of Bangkok, not far from the Chao Phraya River. Not far away from the hotel there are some shopping malls, many small restaurants, a very nice park and also Wat Suan Kaeo – a not overfrequented temple with a beautiful garden – here one notices visitors as well as inhabitants quickly that it is more relaxed than in the dependency in the city centre.
