Auf der FRUIT LOGISTICA gab es allerhand Anbieter von Papaya und jede Sorte hatte ihre Vorzüge. Ich hatte die Chance Papayas aus jedem Winkel der Welt zu probieren. Sehr leckere Papayas kamen beispielsweise aus Brasilien, die waren recht groß, schön anzusehen, nicht zu fest und dabei zuckersüß.
Aber im Vergleich mit der Organic Formosa von HLB aus Mexico (und mittlerweile auch aus Brasilien) hatte aus Sicht meines Gaumens keine andere Papaya auf der FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 eine echte Chance. Diese Bio Papaya war zwar nicht so groß wie andere, aber Ihr hervorragender dezenter Geschmack und ihre einmalige Konsistenz hoben sie ab und machen sie einzigartig.
Lorenz Hartmann de Barros (Director of Sales von HLB Specialties aus Amerika (mit Sitz in Florida) und Susanne Raiß (General Managerin der HLB Tropical Food GmbH Deutschland) waren nicht nur super freundliche Gegenüber, sondern auch echte Profis, die gerne Ihr fundiertes Wissen mit mir geteilt haben.
Beide haben sich jede Menge Zeit genommen mir die Beweggründe von HLB und den Spirit dieses speziellen Produkts, aber auch der vielen anderen Spezialitäten von HLB zu vermitteln. Vielen Dank für die detaillierten Einblicke in die Firmen-Philosophie und das Produkt Portfolio.
Neben Papaya offeriert HLB eben auch allerhand andere hervorragende Früchte. Als da wären beispielsweise Rambutan, süße große Mangos, erstklassige Limetten und einiges mehr. HLB hat inzwischen bereits eine mehr als dreißig jährige Erfahrung im Vertrieb von Früchten – sollte es also mal Lieferengpässe, beispielsweise mit Papayas geben, hat HLB genug Produzenten hochwertiger Früchte in Petto um auch kurzfristig reagieren zu können.
Man merkt an der erlesenen Qualität der Produkte sofort mit welcher Sorgfalt, Liebe und Professionalität hier herangegangen und entwickelt wird.
Die herkömmliche Papaya die durch HLB vertrieben wird bekommt man bereits bei Globus & Edeka – die Bio Papaya sind noch sehr neu, daher kann es ggf. noch etwas dauern bis es diese dort auch zu kaufen gibt. Wenn es aber soweit ist oder Ihr die Organic Formosa von HLB irgendwo seht – kauft und probiert sie, ihr werdet es nicht bereuen!
At the FRUIT LOGISTICA there were all sorts of suppliers of papaya and every variety had its advantages. I had the chance to try papayas from every corner of the world. Very tasty papayas came for example from Brazil, they were quite big, nice to look at, not too firm and sweet as sugar.
But compared to the Organic Formosa from HLB from Mexico (and meanwhile also from Brazil), no other papaya had a real chance at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 from my point of view. This organic papaya was not as big as others, but its excellent taste and unique consistency made it stand out and make it unique.

In addition to papaya, HLB also offers many other excellent fruits. For example, rambutan, sweet large mangos, first-class limes and much more. HLB already has more than thirty years of experience in fruit distribution – so should there be any supply bottlenecks, for example with papayas, HLB has enough producers of high-quality fruit on hand to be able to react at short notice.
The exquisite quality of the products immediately shows the care, love and professionalism with which they are approached and developed.
The traditional papaya which is distributed by HLB is in Germany already available at Globus & EDEKA – the organic papaya is still very new, so it may take some time until you can buy them there. But if you see the Organic Formosa from HLB somewhere – buy it and try it, you won’t regret it!
